At Ashmore State School we offer students the opportunity to participate in of one of two choirs.
- Junior Choir (Grades 2 and 3) – Tuesday first break
- Senior Choir (Grades 4, 5 and 6) – Wednesday first break
During choir rehearsals we practice breathing and vocal warmup exercises to develop a healthy singing voice, as well as learning new songs.
Students who join the choir are expected to:
- Consistently attend rehearsals weekly
- Arrive punctually
- Listen attentively
- Participate actively
- Sing enthusiastically
Each student is asked to bring along a display folder to each session in which they can store the lyrics and sheet music they are provided.
If you wish for your child to join either the Junior or Senior Choirs, The Choir Contract is linked below. This will need to be read and signed by the student attending Choir and their parent/carer.
