Hello,
At Ashmore State School, we are very proud of our vibrant Instrumental Music (IM) program and community. Education Queensland's world-class system in Instrumental Music tuition provides a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in an exciting and diverse field of study up until year 12. Research has shown that students who engage in music education have been associated with a range of academic, cognitive and psychosocial benefits. It is an exciting time for your child as they either commence or continue their journey of learning an instrument. I would like to welcome you and your child to the Instrumental Music Program for 2023. You will no doubt be pleased with the level of confidence that committing to learning an instrument will create in your child. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact me.

Lessons have 30 minutes of contact time per week so home practice is vital. To assist home practice students should access a music program called Smartmusic.
To utilise this, it is necessary for students to have access at home to a computer or iPad for their daily practise sessions.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
