​​​​Ashmore State School teaches, assesses and reports against the Australian Curriculum. The Australian Curriculum is designed to develop successful learners, creative and confident individuals. 

The Foundation – Year 10 Australian Curriculum is described as a three-dimensional curriculum that comprises of disciplinary knowledge, skills and understanding; general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities.

Ashmore State School teach, assess and report on the eight Key Learning Areas; English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, The Arts (Music, Dance, Drama, Media and Visual) Health and Physical Education, Japanese and Technologies.

Provisions of Whole School Curriculum outlines how the eight Key Learning Areas are covered at Ashmore State School. It is inclusive of when formal reporting occurs and when teachers engage in moderation practices. ​

 


Approaches to Teaching & Learning

The Ashmore State School Approaches to Teaching and Learning​ highlights how the school community achieves the Ashmore State School 'Why'. It focuses on Aspirational, Precision, Personalised and Connected learning and the opportunities that occur to support students to have success in these areas.​
