This occurs from 8:00am to 8:45am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
Students from all grades and parents are welcome to attend. New participants are always welcome. Meet by the PE office (adjacent to the oval).
Bring a change of clothes and footwear/socks for the wetter days. The grass is often wet.
Prep parents are required to stay so they can walk their child to class following the session.
All sessions are run voluntarily by teachers.
- Monday - Fitter - Large laps (approx 1km)
- Wednesday – fitter (intervals), faster (sprint technique), stronger (core strength)
- Friday - Run or Walk / talk - small laps (approx 500m)
All sessions are recorded and students who run more than 25km per semester have their achieved distances recorded in school reports. Students who run over set distances are awarded certificates or badges to signify distances run. Generally, these are 25km (Prep only), 50km, 100km, 200km, 300km…up to 1000km!
IF STUDENTS RUN A PARK RUN THEY CAN LOG THEIR DISTANCES AT FITTER, FASTER, STRONGER. 5KM = 5 LAPS.
