Personal Improvement Plan (PIP)

At Ashmore State School a ‘Personal Improvement Plan’ (PIP) for every student is encouraged.  The focus areas are: Reading. Writing, Oral language, Numeracy and Social / Personal.  The PIP is developed by the student in collaboration with the class teacher and other key personnel at the beginning of each term. The PIP outlines the student’s:

• End of Term data

The PIP is the shared with caregivers and is reviewed at Student, Parent and Teacher Interviews.  This document is then kept in the student’s Communication Book as well as an electronic version.  This electronic version may be attached to the student’s Digital Portfolio.

Digital Technology

In 2017, students from Prep to Yr 6 commenced the study of Digital Technologies including coding and robotics. The Digital Technologies is taught by specialist teachers who also provide professional development to staff at Ashmore State School to insure the subject is intergrated.
